Coming of Age Manga Onobori Monogatari to Become a Live Action Film

Coming of age has been one of the greatest facets that every man is interested in. firstly each person has a unique background: not all the well off can be considered content in life and not all impoverish can be said as indeed "poor"; and secondly because of the fact that we love to compare, ask advices and so on and so forth that makes us talk about ourselves and if not of others. Coming of age is said to a person's transition from childhood to adulthood where the age when this takes place varies in the society.

For a must-seen coming-of-age flick, the 4-panel manga Onobori Monogatari will be going to the big screens in a live-action film starring Yosio Inoue. The film will premiere in Japan this coming July 17, 2010.

Directed by Yasuka Mori, the autobiographical manga follows the life of a budding manga creator after he moves to Tokyo from the countryside. Creator of the said manga, Satoshi Karasuya, based the story on his own experiences.
Onobori Monogatari is seen in Takeshobo's Manga Club magazine from year 2006 to 2008. The complete series was compiled into one volume in 2008.

The 30-year old actor, Inoue, to play the lead is best known in Japan for starring in musicals such as Mozart!, Marie Antoinette, and Miss Saigon. The said 4 panel mange will be his third film role but his first to lead in.
